Jason Cropper is an Oakland native and resident who has a long history in the music industry. Jason's career began during his time in LA as a founding member and original guitarist of the band Weezer. He was signed for three years to Geffen Records and is credited as a contributing writer on their eponymous Blue Album. Jason counts himself "lucky and humble" for the opportunity to work and record with Rick Ocasek at Electric Lady Studio.

Throughout the decades that followed, Jason's musical contributions included; forming member of 22 Jacks (Side One Dummy Records), alongside Joe Sib of Wax, Chris Shifflet of the Foo Fighters and Steve Soto of Agent Orange & The Adolescents, and forming and fronting pop punk band Chopper One (Restless Records), which produced indie rock success with multiple singles and videos filling the airwaves. Following Chopper One, Jason formed Flip Top along side Scott Shiflett of Face To Face and Jackson United with contributions by Josh Freese of the Foo Fighters, Perfect Circle, Sting, Nine Inch Nails, and many others. Jason's years of studio and live performance experience paved the way for his careers at Ocean Way Recording Studios (currently United Recording) and Vintage King Audio where he worked with many influential artists building premier live and recording environments.

In 2018 Jason reconnected with former bandmate Rivers Cuomo for a series of acoustic shows in San Francisco. Soon after, Jason began writing, recording and producing new material and committed himself full time to building Studio C, his personal studio in Jingletown, Oakland. Several singles were released throughout 2020 and 2021 from those recordings. Jason adds, "As an artist today, after so many evolutions in how music gets created and shared, I just focus on the feeling and the sound of a well-written, well-sung song. With the purity of a live band, that moment when the song kicks in and you feel the connection with each other and the audience - there's nothing like it." Jason enjoys production and playing live, along with supporting artist development through his Studio C work. He is currently completing work on his upcoming album.

Jason's songwriting offers a refined edge and an upbeat refreshing message to today's pop rock. His ability to connect with audiences through sincere storytelling of growth and optimism, matched with captivating hooks and emphatic guitar riffs makes for a memorable performance. Cropper notes, "Weezer fans usually dig our new material because of its driving rock guitar, bouncing bass and anthemic choruses, but I've also got albums of acoustic and emo material to make for a variety of dynamic shows."
